Hi Claire I'd say the 'point scoring' comment refers to some of the discussion here (and I was part of it) which started out with 'who's had/has it harder than who', went on to 'who's greener/more environmentally-friendly than who' and ended up with Hamilton Road being full of people with 'aspirations'. I agree - let's let it go - there are two opposing viewpoints here, and it's unlikely they'll be reconciled. For my part, I'm in favour of the CPZ, for reasons which I've gone into in great detail in this thread, but I understand there are those who aren't. It doesn't matter - as long as everyone makes their voice heard, and then supports whatever decision is finally made. And, for the record, I don't think having aspirations is necessarily a bad thing. Of course, I live in the Lower Hamiltons, and can't speak for the Upper Hamiltons. |
