Actually don't get me wrong, my heart bleeds for the poor souls with children that may have to carry shopping and/or children from their car which is inconveniently not outside the front door - Oops I forgot, I was one of them. I had three children, no car and after only 4 short years, no husband either but I somehow managed to deliver my children to school in the mornings (Burford Road to St. John's in Boston Park Road) on foot, get myself to work in Hammersmith by bus, carry huge bags of shopping home on the bus most days after work, collect children from childminder (on foot), get home, cook dinner, do washing, clean house etc., and I did all that (daily) never once slumping to the floor with physical/mental exhaustion. Gosh I must be superwoman! We seem to breed such wilting flowers nowadays that the strain of parking in another road is enough to cause an attack of the vapours and the pre-occupation with worrying about who owns what vehicle parked outside is enough to send them into an apopleptic fit.
