| Funny that a road bridge hit by a truck- even mildly is assessed fully within hours and fixed within hours or days even if it suffers heavier damage. The M4 Flyover remains open despite known structural issues without an axle load weight restriction. Wharncliffe viaduct remains operational even with bricks falling out of it. But this little footbridge needs a team of 'experts' to make a decision on that should be a days work to fix. Sums up bureaucracy and why we have no money to ever get things done properly. |
