| Sorry for the delay and this doesn't advance it much. “Hounslow Council and Hounslow Highways are very sorry for the inconvenience caused by the closure of the Footbridge, a routine surveillance inspection of the structure found movement and deterioration in a support member and it has been closed as it is unsafe to use. We are working as quickly as possible to resolve the engineering challenges and restore access over the canal. Currently a detailed structural engineering assessment has been commissioned and as soon as the report is completed further information will be provided.” The report had been expected mid-January but this may be delayed by 'Plan B' COVID restrictions. I am suggesting to Hounslow Highways that they push their consultants to carry on with this review. |
