Well, of course they are - if you suggested closing the road where I live to traffic or restricting it I'd be delighted too. But, that is not the point, it is again - as with the dreadful and short-sighted decision on Church St., the wishes of the few being prioitised over the majority of users. You then just transfer the problem you hoped to solve on to some other poor sods. I'm not saying any of this is easy to resolve - but unless I don't understand - I always thought the highway was for vehicles to travel on, the way Hounslow is going you might just as well declare a traffic free zone across the borough. |
