Simple. the delay with no alternative routes and the lack of access for delivery and visitors who are not residents. It's simply not made clear. Lionel Road was a feeder to the A4 and M4 with no residences yet its been closed for far longer than planned and now the traffic congestion is huge to the roundabout. The last two weekends ( major incident excluded) traffic has queued up Ealing Road beyond New Road to get onto Brentford High st and buses are delayed to the point of being terminated short. Bad enough, but when so few are running and capacity reduced really pointless even considering using the bus. Having people forced to drive long ways round to do basic duties that they won't otherwise be able to fulfil helps no-one. All I'm asking is how this is being addressed? Because there is no mention at all of this. Rat running is nothing new with this road it's gone on since the building of the Towers One day it could be you or I or anyone else reading this that could become reliant of a visit or a shopping errand or basic contact and not so easy to get around. It's happened a lot with the creep of CPZs and people becoming increasing ly isolated. We've seen a change in that over the last few months but as people return to work the breakdown of that is already reoccurring. Those who still drive do a lot for friends and relatives and neighbours but it does take a car to ferry stuff and people about. |
