| HRG? Strewth, you really do live in a timewarp don't you Robin? I don't think the HRG (Hounslow Residents' Group) has even been in existence for the past ten years! It really is time you abandoned your old fixations Robin and joined the rest of us in the 21st century. Take down those yellowing pieces of parchment from the old letters' pages that you have on your bedroom wall alongside your Bay City Rollers posters and move on, for goodness' sake! There is some good work being done in Hounslow in combatting racism and building community cohesion. Some of your Labour colleagues have been working closely with me on this front and as the recently outgoing Chair of Hounslow Against Racial Harassment I have been pleased with their work and proud of their valuable contribution. It is sad that there are still some - like yourself, and there are others - who seem to regard racism, real or imagined, more as a vote-catching opportunity than as a live issue to be addressed. Shameful. |
