| Sorry if I implied anything Corinna, it's just that when I write incomprehensible gobbledegook it's usually after I've had a tipple. I liked this one: "I was impressed that there was cross party opposition to the proposed savings(the Tories and ICG like to call them) /cuts(as they are)from most of the opposition parties.Altho the Libdems as ever could not agree together." Bearing in mind you take a swipe at the Lib Dems for not operating a party whip, who exactly were these "opposition parties" who came together to oppose the budget? Let's take a look at how the parties voted: Conservatives - all for Labour - all against ICG - five for, one absention Lib Dems - mixed West Area Independents - both for Cllr Samantha Davies - for Cllr John Connelly - against Methinks if ever we really do cut any teaching posts we should begin with your old Maths teacher. |
