Having attended countless meetings over the last year to decide our election strategy and to select candidates, I can assure you all that there have been no smoke filled rooms. Being one of a very small group of smokers within the Association, I am always banned to the cold and wet if I wish to indulge my nasty habit. More importantly than the lack of smoked filled rooms, I can aslo inform you that there has not, nor would there ever be, any agreement between the Conservative Party any other Party within the borough. We have not written off any ward to Labour. As with every political party, we have concidered our best options to maximise our potential to win seats on May 4th. As has been said many time before, the only poll that matters is the one on May 4th. I believe that the electorate will know that there is only one way to vote if they are serious about ridding Hounslow of Labour. I'm off now to have another cigar and contemplate the future of a Labour free Hounslow. |
