| Hi David, I think you have answered your own question really.I totally agree on what you have said with regard to the other subjects you have mentioned like telephones, televisions and many area's of management facilities, but unfortunately i can only fight one battle at a time. The parking should be provided out of the taxes like it is in other countries and should be free at the point of delivery, but that isn't happening and very unlikely to happen. At some hospitals free parking would cause a problem in which the system could be abused by people not attending the hospital, but this is not the case at west mid. There are no shopping centres or transport links that near by. If the cost was lower the issue would not be so bad, but the prices that are being charged at the moment are making a mockery of the sick and like the title says "rubbing salt in to the wounds". People would also be more willing to pay parking fees if all the revenue from it went to the NHS, but as it is, only a fraction of the income goes to the trust with the remainder filling the bellies of an already multi-billion pound company and this profit is generated by robbing the sick! I am disgusted that this has become a nationwide problem and those that are able to stop this are sitting back and doing nothing to change the system. |
