| Hi Colin, the charges at west Mid are disgraceful and a rate like at Barnet Hospital would be more appropriate for certain patients like in your wifes case and parents visiting babies and children, also A&E visitors that need to be admitted. Ecovert does have the maintenance contract at Barnet hospital but does not control the parking. I am very glad that you found the staff helpful, i have had both good and bad experiences during the many years i have attended west mid, and without the amazing staff of SCBU my beautiful baby would not be here today. I have also witnessed some of the problems that the staff have to deal with expecially in A&E on the weekends, it can become rather scary!On one of my trips to A&E i had an allergic reaction when stung on the mouth by a wasp ,the night before the festival at boston manor park. Two men had fought in a pub ending up at the hospital where they carried on.The poor nurse ended up jumping infront of me to protect me from the fight, and then just after a shoe came flying past into the room.Bless the nurse i think he was as shocked as i was!Bless the man! The next day the papers took photo's of Debbie and I at the festival, Jim put it up the other day, maybe he can put it up again so we can have a chuckle!ha!ha! my face looks normal now!ha!ha! Anyway i wish you and your wife all the very best and hope she has a speedy recovery. Take care Ina |
