| There are changes to try and alleviate the problems. I'm not sure that that surgeries are good enough at letting their patients know. We can't understand changes properly until we have to deal with them because there is so much more bureaucracy surrounding everything and many use the GP's surgery rarely. For many of us the system is different each time. The change to a lack of continuity is disappointing. GP's also do not have easy and timely access to the services that they want to provide for their patients. The wait for physio is too long (it was three months) and as a result they issue more painkiller prescriptions some of which are very addictive. I also remember that the waiting list for the Incontinence nursing team was long. Services weren't being offered which should have been to avoid later bigger problems. |
