Trafalgar Square and Church St are hardly comparable, and the same goes for the heart of Central London and a suburban area with no train stations in the vicinity and two bus routes and local people heavily reliant on cars. A closer comparison would be with the North Circular through the Ealing Common area which appears to be solid a lot of the time, although in that case it's because of objections to what would be an expensive widening process, rather than the closure of a perfectly usable existing route. |
