In connection with Keeping Osterley Green, I was a bit puzzled / concerned by the bit in the draft Regeneration and Economic Development 2016-2020 report that is out for consultation : ""III. Boston Manor Link A new link from the Great West Road across the Canal/M4 to Boston Manor Tube station that will improve connectivity to the Piccadilly Line. 2.6 Boston Manor Link A new link from the Great West Road across the Canal/M4 to Boston Manor Tube station that will reduce journey times to the Piccadilly Line. P1, P2a,P2c Outline feasibility completed by March 2017 Project commencement GLA, TfL, Highways Agency " I can't see where this would go unless it is a bridge over the canal from Transport Avenue linking to a new road through Boston Manor Park Or something more major from Syon Lane across the Grasshoppers playing field or Wyke Green Golf Course and onto the playfields just south of Boston Manor station ? I wouldn't object to better bike/pedestrian routes in the area but major new roads from the Highway Agency would encroach badly on the Canal corridor. |
