The news that Floreat will have exclusive use of part of Carville Hall Park South for part of every weekday is a disgrace IMHO. All the hassle developers get about having a provide a minimum amount of private amenity space for their units, but no-one has ever suggested actually cordoning off part of a public space specifically for the residents of a development, yet that's exactly what is happening with this school. Whether the park as a whole or this specific area is used regularly during the specific hours isn't relevant, it is the basic principle of giving away public open space for private benefit. Rare for me to say it, but the Council's conduct in this regard really does stink. |
