"POliticians are not always up front with what is planned." I'd re-word that Keith to "Politicians are seldom up front with what is planned."! It would be really helpful if the Art Council chap/chapess in charge of Waterman's would come forward and explain the "raison d'etre" of Waterman's. Why was Waterman's permitted to cease being the vibrant place so many on here remember? Were the events that used to delight deliberatly spiked or stopped? The cinema seems to prosper inspite of its, at times, eccentric/unpredictable screen equipment and the hard seats. The affordable prices and helpful box office staff are an asset, so is the free car park, so is its proximity to the wonderful 65 bus route. Nice to be able to get a drink or coffee whilst waiting and even the limited but cheap and cheerful curries add to the "experience"! |
