"A recent YouGov survey found that 67 per cent of Brits are in favour of following France's example and banning women from wearing full-face veils in public places. French president Nicolas Sarkozy has said that the burka "is not welcome" in his country, adding: "The burka is not a sign of religion, it is a sign of subservience."" |
