| The Community Investment Fund was actually increased for this financial year Robin at the last Borough budget so I am still a little surprised that FAWG did not receive the full amount they requested even though I suspect that the total funding available was oversubscribed again. It may well be worth lobbying Cllr Raj Bath to see if there is any available underspend which could make up the shortfall as invariably another organisation may have now declined their funding offer for various reasons? When I chaired this committee I used to have a pre meeting with officers and I admit some difficult decisions had to be made with the amount of money available and some groups would always lose out but in my experience any shortfalls could be found somewhere or other so good luck I hope that Cllr Bath is back to full strength ASAP as he has always been a true gentleman in the dealings I have had with him and is a fine councillor and a real credit to the Borough |
