| I did of course look at asylum accommodation. You cannot or choose not to back up the claim you made. I did not 'stick my nose into a ward of which I knew absolutely nothing'. It was discussed at I think the very first Area Forum I attended, where I was required to look at the arguments and vote on the matter. I listened to th arguments and decided that the problems in Church street, then a very ineffective bypass of Twickenham Road which I knew very well was frequently jammed. I actually knew a lot about Isleworth: I knew (and still know) many people there. I had a role in organising the Labour campaign in 2015 being the local organiser for Isleworth. I had been visiting it regularly every month for the board meetings of Thamesbank Credit Union which met in the Isleworth Public Hall. I was also engaged with numerous Isleworth people in an eventually failed attempt to turn IPH into a Community-run facility. I'm glad you don't have any political ambitions, which would clearly end in tears for you, I'm confident. |
