| I did note that Cllr Lambert avoided answering the Greens proposal to remove the Church of England from the core of the UK's foundations. However in his defence at least he has been open about his change to Green philosophy. Compare that to other councillors in both Hounslow and Ealing who are more extreme than Greens share their whole philosophy and idealism and yet weird considerable power in the capacity of cabinet portfolio councillors . One example, but not isolated is right next door in Northfields. A councillor who has more responsibilities than could be expected of any ordinary mortal but sadly is a complete failure in all of them. Just another political operator who is too much of a coward to reveal his true leanings and knows his bread is buttered for his power within the local Labour group. The only difference is Labour are deft at covering their policies and the Greens at least open about some of them but will simply support Labour for all the looney and more radical policies that they like to keep under wraps with their cohorts in the Mayor of London's all controlling machine. It's a real shame no-one in Labour dare to stand up to any of this. They see the career consequences. |
