I don't think that you really believe I am not supportive of things like the Isleworth Society, most of these things are in being as they are concerned with single issues that they are passionate about and which a local authority would quite likely not have the resources to support. They do not, as far as I am aware, want to run anything, you, as usual, are just muddying the waters. I will criticise the local authority or anyone else for that matter if I feel I have real issues with them no matter what political party is in the majority, for the record I don't 'prefer' any political make up although I would hope to see a labour majority, I think that Independent parties do have a role in politics, but I fail to see where you imagine people want to be 'empowered', they were empowered by being able to vote that is where the real strength lies not in the (to me) loopy idealogy of 'community'. You also know full well that in the case of planning and CPZs and God alone what else that public consultation is the norm in this borough at least, and long may it be so. |
