I have to disagree with you there Vanessa as Area Committees are vital in allocating funding to particular problems using either their available Capital or the funding within their Priority Roads and Foot-ways list which is approximately 100k per area. Hounslow South is indeed a Tory "controlled" ward as you put it but the three councillors there may as well play table tennis against a wet blanket when dealing with the Labour majority on the Hounslow Central Area Committee At the Isleworth and Brentford Area Committee we have allocated or committed hundreds of thousands of pounds towards improving the roads and foot-ways in this area of Hounslow |
