Consultation is a box ticking exercise now, despite it supposedly being a key part of formative planning. It’s always after the agreements are signed off and budgets assigned. Somebody gets a nice payday but nothing is utilised so why bother? As the cycle Lahr consultation shows, less than a third of respondents live in the affected area. Organisations like the LCC game these consultations, skewing results and giving false validation to policy makers. It’s all a sham. |
