| Many moons ago when I was a local councillor myself and my colleagues were informed by a local resident that a young planning officer at the Council offered to recommend approval for a private home extension in return for a bribe We of course informed the Borough Solicitor and Head of Planning who I believe investigated this and the matter was closed thankfully as the officer was in my opinion an extremely hard working and diligent employee of the Council though no action was taken against the resident for making such claims |
