How is bunging up Twickenham Rd going to endear the Labour council to voters I wonder. If we assume there aren't so many on Church St but there are likely to be many more on Twickenham Rd. What's so special about Church St residents?" This is another angle I really don't get - we are told - wrongly I would venture - that these people are politicians, any politician worth their salt as you point out would consider the political advantage among other things when making decisions. This lot seem so bloody naïve it isn't true, I agree that the likelihood of Church St. being stuffed with Labour votes is well nigh impossible, even after this folly. People who are wealthy, articulate and organised won't give a stuff who gets them what they want, come election time they will revert to type, sod you Jack pull the ladder up. After all they got the rest of us taxpayers to pay for this traffic free Utopia. |
