| I have always found traffic engineers/officers to be people who seemed to have dropped in from a parallel universe, they do come up with some bonkers ideas that locals can immediately tear into shreds. What is most worrying is that councillors who represent us should know the area like the backs of their hands and should also be well aware of the issues, sadly they do not. Whether this is laziness, naivety or just stupidity is open to debate, there is so much more to being a councillor than just swanning around full of your own self-importance and thinking you know it all. This lot don't seem to have any political nous let alone knowledge of their area and its issues. In all the years I have lived here and in the sixteen years served as a councillor I have never, ever known councillors and the council as a whole to be so reviled. |
