| The point is we've had two small roads in the last few months closed to through traffic because some up themselves residents decided they didn't like it. Cole Park just before the A316 roundabout closed off and now Church St. which is at the other end of Twickenham Rd. So we've been squeezed from both ends! The consequence being that other residential areas are now subjected to more through traffic with people trying to dodge the tailbacks. The solution isn't rocket science, but I believe that Church St. decided to stick it out for complete closure and would accept nothing less. Pity they weren't asked to pay the cost which has been lumbered on to local taxpayers - in total a cool £126K! |
