Thanks for this reply and you're right - it galls me to have to pay a single extra penny to Hounslow Council - but then, I choose to live in London and that's what we, as London residents, do. Pay. And, I'll tell you what, I'll happily pay to ensure that my wife and three small children can park within 100 yards of my house. Doesn't have to be outside my house. Somewhere on the street would do - which is something that has been an impossibility for the last two days. And on match days - sorry? Haven't footie fans heard of public transport? What makes them think, other than ignorance, that they can simply cruise up in their cars, to a venue without a car park, in a residential area, and dump their vehicles on the street? I accept it's unlikely to change, but I'm surprised that people find this behaviour acceptable. |
