| Whichever way you cut this - the fact is that Hounslow could and should have been on top of this and taken a very robust stance with the developers. Other local planning authorities have done so to protect their local heritage buildings, and this one in Brentford was extremely unique. It's all very well saying it could have been worse - but the reality is it also could have been a whole lot better, and this lackadaisical attitude displayed by Hounslow gives out all the wrong messages to others, a shameful episode. |
