Guy.  Where are the pictures of the survey to protect the building prior to the works starting?  Surely it must be like a party wall situation with surveys to protect prior to the work and a full written agreement at that stage so there can be 'no misunderstandings' 'mistakes' or other 'quiet' information given which might allow any developer to think they can get away with it.  There were no obvious cracks in the building that could be seen from the road until work was started to remove the roof.  See Hazel Dakers original post and stated concerns.
