Poor me? I don't think so Patricia. I think you'll find that whenever I've found myself under the cosh I've always finished up speaking last and loudest. Do remind us how your political career ended. For the record I have not supported any scheme. I voted in favour of an Executive motion to agree the proposal "in principle" subject to extensive consultation, a concept which I guess from your record you are not altogether familiar with. If local people are not supportive of this proposal it will not get my support. With respect I think you have rather a nerve asking what the people of Brentford feel about this proposal. How can you, as a former councillor who stuck two fingers up to literally hundreds of her own constituents over the Worton development (not to mention the Mugabean Woodlands traffic survey over which you presided), have the bare-faced cheek to set yourself up all of a sudden (from Hampshire) as the champion of the citizens of Brentford? Worton may be history as you say, but you bragged on this forum as recently as a couple of months ago that you still had no regrets over screwing your own former constituents in the way that you did. Fair enough, if that is the way you do business - you knew the risks (presumably) and paid the price a couple of years later. Others hung around a little bit longer before heading off up the motorway with their tails between their legs. But please don't insult the readers of this forum by coming on here, bold as brass, and affecting concern for the wishes of our residents. And with regard to your unhealthy interest in my children, I can only refer you to my earlier comments. I made a decision which I felt was in their best interests under the circumstances in which we find ourselves locally. How amusing it is, considering the attitude that you displayed to others as a councillor, that you should appear so affronted that I omitted to consult you. |
