Your assumptions about motivations of school governors says more about how you see your role as a councillor - getting back at perceived opponents - than it does about anything else. In relation to planning, the logic of the decision of the Coouncil to withdraw enforcement powers from the Heston area committee was based on them deciding against officer recommendations more often than other areas. Now officers have a near 100% success rate on all planning and enforcement reports going in front of members. Given your support of this logic you should claim credit for the fact that your officers usually win the day at Sustainable Development rather than playing up to your constituents on Mogden. No apology for the lie about Linda and Peter? Thought not. Incidentall |
