Decian It's nice to hear about this proposal from a business point a view. I agree that this is just a local authority scheme to tax business and provide the council with funding. I can also see business leaving the GWR as the council do not provide any decent incentive for company to stay There when thy dont have to move to far out two get a decent industrial area. The loser's will be the local people who are employed by them, especially the apprentices you have on your books. There are some company's on the GWR already paying out for park and ride schemes because they haven't got enough parking spaces at their premises. A fried of mine was told last year by his company, that they were thinking of moving out of London, as they can get cheaper office space and better transport links further out. For a scheme such as this, the transport infrastructure needs to be in place before hand, Other wise it's just another Tax on Business in the area. leading to local people becoming unemployed |
