I'm very familiar with the geography thank you. There are some 9000 new homes in construction, planning, or recently constructed in Brentford. Clearly that has an impact on congestion but the reactions to this one development especially from Chiswick residents are hysterical in the extreme. We need new homes in London - desperately - and we're all going to have to put up with changes we wouldn't necessarily choose. This change is IMO on balance positive and will create a very positive impression, just as the St George's development around Kew Bridge - also widely opposed at the time - has. Oh, and I quite frequently drive up Lionel Road South and yes it gets congested in the rush hour. However I've never once had a problem exiting onto the A4 (M4 is different because the slip road is jammed) because there is a 'keep clear' zone which is well respected. |
