You miss the point: 1,000 extra flats, or however many the profit-driven developers eventually cram sardine-like into their ugly high-rise stumps onto the too-small site behind Kew Bridge Station, must lead to worse traffic congestion, making it harder to access Brentford, Hounslow, Isleworth, Kew etc. On traffic grounds alone, the scheme is ill-advised. The Glasgow-style high rise eyesores behind the Steam Museum should be a reminder to Hounslow officials and councillors of their responsibility not to inflict further rotten planning decisions on those of us who live here. And don't get me started on the unimaginitive Ballymore proposals for the High Street, making historic Brentford look like a dreary suburb of Milton Keynes... |
