No stroke - brain haemorrhage is different. The state of our roads is far from perfect - we live in the 13th year of a government dedicated to austerity. Ours in Hounslow however are the best in London. It's the times: 100 years ago nobody could afford a car of any sort but the government at the time provided tarmac roads to be prepared for the coming of petrol cars. Looking at ads, electric cars are available (not many of them and tend to be high mileage) under £5000 and they will come down. That's why councils, whether we want to or not, need to provide infrastructure to support that. People have been encouraged to switch off cars for years, to reduce the cost of fuel and stop poisoning the atmosphere. I rarely drive (at all) and in particularly at busy times so I have little to add to that. For years I used to drive past Hanger Lane every day to work but thankfully that is behind me! |
