Actually Dave I had two separate brain haemorrhages - one which made me appear extremely drunk - one that made thinks a lot worse a day or two later - and that, I have learnt, plays meanly with your memory. I agree the roads could be better, they are however, year after year, independently assessed as the best in London for several years (by LOTAG - London Technical Advisory Group) I agree there are problems in Brentford at the moment caused mostly by the replacement of the traffic lights at Ealing Road (which are scheduled to be finished tomorrow) Not helped at all by urgent repairs done by Cadent (kew Bridge Road) SSE (Windmill, plus recently the South Circular) and of course National Highways (along the A4) Pollution is sharply down whenever I look at it, though mainly because cars have got a lot less polluting (thanks to well guided green commitments) The potholes are prompted quickly if you can be bothered by a pothole. I write a bike nearly every day and have never been knocked off by a pothole (though a van got me once and a car once- but at least the car driver was prosecuted) |
