| Cycling is the new orthodoxy. It’s become a cult for a sizeable minority who brook no argument or dissent. The LCC, of which Lambert is a member and apologist, has driven out many moderate members with its aggressive approach. For most sensible people it’s entirely reasonable to expect cyclists to obey the rules and to ensure their own safety by wearing helmets and having lights on their bikes. But even that’s too much for the true believers. You can see their bilious rants over on the Chiswick forum. |
