| With respect these are all family size houses with front and back gardens - at a time of a major housing crisis all that is irrelevant. Getting properties back into use for families is the name of the game - and I can't think of anyone who seriously thinks that a partial refurbishment of a sheltered unit can or should take eighteen months, which is the time my elderly neighbour has been waiting for a move. Which would then free up yet another family size house. The Leader of the council and his cabinet member for housing have known about all this for months now, they have taken complacency to a whole new (low) level. |
