| I do hope that the house in question passes the 'Brownlee vacancy and pre-letting test'. Have you established (non-exhaustive list): That the house in council owned? That the DWP are not involved? That the knotweed is actually Japanese and not a Korean or Chinese substitute? Yes, sadly, there are voids and vacant houses all over Ealing and Hounslow (the last FofI request to Ealing revealed 84 'voids' of which 26 were family homes). The waiting lists could be reduced if these were 'turned around' far quicker than at present. Way back in 2014 the length of time that houses were 'void' was identified as an issue http://democraticservices.hounslow.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=250&MId=8627 It seems that little has changed. |
