Good grief Mr Brooks (or is that Ms?), you should read your first sentence. What a load of pretentious nonsense you spout. "I find it almost incomprehensible that you now feel fit to opine on the potential maladministration of Hounslow Council in the letting of homes." You base this on my "demonstrable scant knowledge of local events, evidenced by your oblivion to the well-documented car park debacle in Brentford." You have chosen as your evidence "threads passim" which enforce your belief that council-owned homes are sitting idle. You state that there are "any number of threads about properties that have sat empty for month after month". It seems to me that you are falling victim to forums and their threads. You mention "Site Office" notices with no work in progress. You state "When local residents, including former councillors, have queried this they were told that no such 'Site Office' exists, despite the signs being self-evident to anyone passing." You have not offered any personal experience of this, and merely content to quote comments from the thin and anonymous strands of your "threads passim". You ask me to familiarise myself with the facts - that's the only sensible thing you said. I have lived in Brentford for 30 years. Raised children and grandchildren here. I'm well aware of the car park debacle (or carbuncle as I prefer to call it) and I am extremely aware of the developments going on. I sincerely hope you familiarised yourself with the facts, and not just hearsay, should you wish to comment again. |
