just received the LBH final notice of permanent closure to motorized transport as from next Monday 25th April but little comfort to patients, by definition unwell, or suffering pain or a heart attack or victims of terror attack or extra hospital staff rushing to assist that valuable auxiliary access route to West Mid still open for pedestrians and cyclists! The remaining access route frequently congested so that blue light ambulances delayed or totally hemmed in. Side entrance off Park rd, extension of church st, main access to MRI and Renal units and major staff car park, could be used by patients and ambulances. As from 25th April as LBH closed for any further consultation/discussion need to explore other avenues and suggest address concerns and proofs to CEO of Hospital Trust Lesley.watts@chelwest.nhs.uk and heads of emergency preparedness resilience and response Catherine.sands@chelwest.nhs.uk and karl.munslow-ong@chelwest.nhs.uk. After Westminster cannot wait till attack to prove need although may have been too late to provide timely help for some individual sufferers. |
