| Did the council seek planning permission for erecting the double barrier with signage which does nothing to enhance the villagescape of a street in a conservation area flanked by listed properties and leading from a listed pub to a listed bridge?? Incidentally it is untrue that "decades" of angry protests about "rat running". See quite recent minutes of IBAF meetings with former transport and traffic officer and former church street residents' association having civilized exchanges and tours of vicinity to try and find a solution amenable to whole community. It does look as though arrival of property profiteers poisoned situation which is now dangerous inasmuch as blocking half of access to hospital in time of high terrorist alert. |
