Either way - wrong thread or not - the answer is that no-one, even your precious Boris, was prepared to tell the electorate just how difficult it would be to undo forty years of regulation, laws, trade agreements etc. Why on earth TM triggered Article 50 and MPs supported her - is a mystery, it was tantamount to selling your house and getting right to completion before agreeing a price, then falling out over it. Madness. What should have happened was several years of trying to work out what and how, then approaching the EU top see if the ides were feasible, and only triggering Article 50 once all parties were reasonably certain a withdrawal agreement was likely to succeed. Face it we were lied to - it was never going to be as easy as all those idiots pretended - Cameron was just in a hurry to mollify the right wing Eurosceptics and keep himself in a job, so now Europe has seen off another Tory P.M. - the question is will BJ be joining their merry and ever-growing number? |
