| I wouldn't expect tower blocks to only have smoke alarms - but this terrible event is a brutal wake-up call to householders to check theirs and their escape routes and plans. There are some very sophisticated fire control systems available nowadays - I was told some time ago about a misting system which can put a fire out and yet still leave your open laptop undamaged!
