| The roadworks/temporary lights outside the Rose & Crown PH were certainly Thames Water. I drove past at least twice after 8am weekdays during the latter part of last week and never saw any contractors at work. Nor on Saturday. Clearly work was taking place at some point as when I ran past on Sunday morning the hole had been filled, new tarmac laid etc, and there seemed absolutely no reason why the temporary lights were still in place - even the notice said the works would be completed on 11/03/12 (i.e. Sunday). But at 10am yesterday the lights were still functioning. Finally I note they have gone this morning. Presumably no-one from Thames Water could be arsed to remove the signage or the lights on Sunday or Monday morning... |
