| Don't blame the workers Dianne.It is the btrilliant and sometimes self serving management structure behind them that tells them what to do. It sometimes appears that they have contempt for the public for some reason and this festers contempt back from the public. I'm sure that on the continent people also scratch their heads about what some public works are about and why they take so long. For a country that invented tarmac,trains and railways,iron ships etc. and was the world leader by some distance in civil engineering and sanitation in the 19th and early 20th centuries,we seem to have lost the plot completely.It's a shame Fred Dibnah isn't still around to offer advice. |
