| It's worth taking a look up in South Ealing/ Ealing Green/ Northfields at the moment. One year on and things are getting done. It's original lamposts are being refurbished and modified to be fit for the 21st century and look superb in their original colours. Railings are being replaced, street names are being renewed with the return of the original cast types. It's all these little things that make up the scene. Sadly parts of Hounslow borough has had great well meant initiatives over the years, but some have just resulted in horrors, often dated within months! Brentford is litters with a mish mash of railings and barriers, paving types road signs and lighting. In some parts it is quite good, in others a right mess. I welcome this amount of thought and initiative, just hope is does not end up like Hounslow High street or Feltham. |
