We received a certificate as one of the half-dozen finalists in our category, which was 'Innovative Engagement'.
It was a very female-loaded party, so I had to give Andrew some support. We had Eileen -
Sarah -
And Gilly was making sure Andrew behaved himself properly -
So it was vital that a little male back-up was provided -
We didn't win the big prize, and perhaps that was not surprising. A characteristic of the winners in most of the categories was the positive and successful engagement with those responsible and able to deliver the resulting visions. We had tried hard in that respect, but sadly failed.
We are not giving up on that aspect though. If Ballymore stay the course, they will hopefully see the value of actually working with the community, to deliver a town centre we can all be proud of.
