| A comment on general appearance - remove the unsightly clutter of poles, wires and assorted signs everywhere. It's when you try to get a nice photo of a building that you really realise how next to impossible that often is. Always some street lamp pole, traffic lights, or some badly placed and unnecessary sign of some description, plonked where it's most visually obstructive. Even in the middle of alleyways. If that's 'street furniture', then less is more and let's be careful of placement. And if signs are needed, let them be discreet, and of a uniform, attractive and distinctive style. Definitely no overhead power or phone lines festooning the sky. |
